Watch Out! June 24 Will Be Geekageddon

June 24 is going to be a big day for otaku games in Japan. Enormous. Gianormous. Huuuuuuuuuuge. Here’s why: On June 24, a slew (yes, a slew) of otaku-geared titles go on sale. An insane number of games. (If you happen to know why, please let me know!) What’s more, there are titles that are geared for male players, and there are titles that are geared for female players, too.
Here, have a look: Nintendo DS Love simulator Love Plus Plus. Role-playing-game Atelier Rorona: Alchemist of Arland 2, takes places eight years after the prequel, is the first game in the Atelier series to be in 3D.
Visual novel White Album – Tsuzurareru Fuyu no Omoide is coming to the PS3. Narcissu ~ if there was a tomorrow ~, a visual dōjin visual novel, arrives on the PSP. It was originally scheduled for this spring.
Laced with mysterious murders, visual novel Chaos;Head has already hit the Xbox 360. This June, it debuts on the PSP. Sengoku Hime 2, dubbed “Crap Game of 2009”, is getting an Xbox 360 port.

The second volume in Clannad: Hikari Mimamoru Sakamichi de hits the PSP. Twinkle * Crusaders GoGo! brings hits the PSP as well. And Twinkle Queen on the Wii. Yes, they still make yono all app PS2 games. Hana to Otome ni Shukufuku o: Harekaze no Okurimono is proof of that.
Otome game Konami’s Tokimeki Memorial Girl’s Side 3rd Story is released 
on the Nintendo DS on June 24. Another girls’ title, Starry * sky ~ in Spring~ Portable, but for the PSP.
And yet another female-player geared title: Uta no Prince sama. Also for the PSP. D.C. Girl’s Symphony Pocket for the PSP. Loads of PSP games! Moujuutsukai to Oujisama is also for the PS2. Music game Miku Hatsune for the PSP. What a long list! All these games to choose from, all hitting stores on the same day.
